OctoSpy: The use of drones to spy for animal welfare

This is an interesting broadcasting from Landline (ABC) on the topic of the use of UAVs to spy on farms and check whether they comply with animal welfare regulations when they brand themselves as free-range poultry production for example. This technology has been used by Animal Liberation activists. Since they fly the UAV below 30 m, it complies with CASA regulations. This technology will be used this summer in Australia to check the legality of cattle feedlots.
